Physician Assistant Program Provisions

Due to the recent changes that many Universities have had to make during the COVID-19 pandemic, the Physician Assistant program at 无码群交 will temporarily accept Pass/Fail and Satisfactory/Fail grades. The PA program prefers all courses, specifically prerequisites, have letter grades, but will accept P/F and S/F courses as long as this was the only option presented and not a choice. Supporting documentation from the institution where the course was completed must be presented stating this fact. The RFU PA program reserves the right to request a note from the instructor stating that the passing grade is a C or above. Pass/Fail grades will only be accepted for courses completed during the Winter/Spring and Summer 2020 terms. The PA program will consider extension to this provision on a case by case basis.

The PA program will continue to utilize a holistic approach while reviewing applications and will be taking into consideration all issues that may have occurred due to COVID-19.

Holistic Admissions Statement

The Physician Assistant program at 无码群交 of Medicine and Science creates a pathway of excellence in education, service, scholarship and healthcare by embracing a community of people with a breadth of characteristics, experiences and accomplishments. Our diversity embodies the understanding that each individual is unique and recognizes our individual differences.

The PA department aligns our definition of diversity with that of our accrediting body, the Accreditation Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant (ARC-PA): Differences within and between groups of people that contribute to variations in habits, practices, beliefs, and/or values. The inclusion of different people (including but not limited to gender and race/ethnicity, age, physical abilities, sexual orientation, socioeconomic status) in a group or organization. Diversity includes all the ways in which people differ, and it encompasses all the different characteristics that make one individual or group different from another.

Our program is committed to justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion and thereby helping to create a well-trained, diverse health professions workforce committed to serving diverse populations and reducing health disparities. In order to achieve this, our admissions committee utilizes a holistic review when selecting candidates for the RFU PA program. This includes academic achievements, volunteer and leadership experiences, a commitment to the PA field as well as to their community, and a strong connection to the program’s mission and values.

We strongly recommend that applicants write a response to the optional Diversity essay found within CASPA. Please note that the admissions committee will consider this essay as part of our holistic review.
