Dr. Martin Lanoff received his medical degree from Chicago Medical School in 1985. He completed his physical medicine and rehabilitation (PM&R) residency at Hines VA/Loyola. He has a private PM&R practice, specializing in outpatient sports, musculoskeletal and pain medicine.
He has taught at RFUMS for over twenty years where he lectures first- and second-year students, chairs a second-year elective course and hosts a popular outpatient fourth-year medical student elective rotation. He has mentored virtually every RFUMS student interested in PM&R over the last twenty years.
Dr. Lanoff has served on the national PM&R society (AAPM&R), as a committee chair and as a member of the board of governors, where he continues to donate time. He is perennially elected to the Castle Connolly top doctors in Chicago list since 2000, Chicago Magazine special orthopedic edition top sports doctor list 2011, 2018 and 2020, and is a member of Alpha Omega Alpha national honor medical society, Illinois Delta chapter. He is a third-generation physician, living in the Chicago area and enjoys both his time in the office as well as his time with friends and family.
