Dr. V. Chowdary Jampala, a graduate of Guntur Medical College, India, completed his psychiatric residency at Chicago Medical School. He is board certified in psychiatry, geriatric psychiatry and addiction psychiatry, and is a Distinguished Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association.
Dr. Jampala oversees the Mental Health Department at the Captain James A. Lovell Federal Health Care Center. He has received several honors, including the NARSAD Young Investigator Award and the Distinguished Scientist Award from the Indo-American Psychiatric Association.
Dr. Jampala’s research interests include psychiatric diagnosis, phenomenology, neuropsychiatry, psychopharmacology, and physiological correlates of anxiety disorder.
