The Office of International Global Health coordinates opportunities for students to serve communities in low- and middle-income countries while learning to identify and address health disparities.
The focus of our Global Health efforts at RFU is meeting the health needs of all people—especially the poor in underserved communities—with compassion, integrity, high ethical standards, and a high level of competence. We believe the benefits of learning in and about other parts of the world are invaluable, honing cross-cultural communication and problem-solving skills that improve care delivery and patient outcomes even in the United States.
RFU is especially well-suited to advance the field of Global Health due to our interprofessional approach to learning and service.
RFU has established partner sites in multiple countries and also has an agreement with that enables students to participate in global health experiences in an additional 35+ sites in 10 countries. Students from ÎÞÂëȺ½»'s allopathic medicine, nurse anesthesia, pharmacy, physical therapy, and physician assistant programs have earned academic credit through international study in 10 different countries. We strive to create additional country sites and increase global health academic program offerings for students willing to broaden out their clinical and cultural horizons.
