ÎÞÂëȺ½» is committed to preserving Dr. Franklin’s legacy through innovative research, interprofessional education, collaborative practice, and community health. And through this, her legacy is intertwined with our institution and the stories of the individuals who create the university. This collection aims to compile connections between our namesake and the RFU community as part of our year-long centennial celebration of her birth.
An open call was sent by the WiSH Symposium Organizing Committee to students, faculty and staff throughout the late winter and early spring of 2021. Participants volunteered to share how Dr. Franklin has impacted their personal or professional journey after contemplating three guiding questions that reflect on Dr. Franklin’s influence on their story, her life and her career defining accomplishments. We are grateful to all who have bravely shared their own inspiring personal journeys in progress.
