Synopsis:
Nutrition is a fundamental human right and should be prioritized in young children and women of childbearing age. In this lecture, Salibatu Mansaray will explore the intergenerational cycle of malnutrition, the role of food insecurity and poverty, prevention methods, and the overall impacts of nutrition on maternal-child health around the world.

Saibatu Mansaray is the CEO and Founder of The Mansaray Foundation, a decorated retired United States Army officer and certified physician associate. Her 26+ year span of experience ranges from executive and organizational leadership both within the United States Army and at the White House. As the CEO of The Mansaray Foundation she utilizes a grassroots, community approach to reduce maternal deaths, prioritize community and teenage health promotion efforts, and is currently piloting an agricultural project to address undernutrition in pregnant, lactating women, and children under 5. Her expertise includes developing and implementing health policies, coordinating and executing humanitarian efforts, executive and austere medical planning, international diplomacy, community development and public speaking.
